We appreciate our fellow book-loving community immensely and can understand the impulse to bring treasured old books from a collection to our doors so they might find new life at the Library.

However.

We are run by a small volunteer staff,  and we do not have the capacity to open, process, sort, and triage boxes and boxes of books left lovingly on our doorstep by well-meaning folks.

At this time our priority for our staff is to modernize and catalogue the Niebyl-Proctor Collection, which is already quite large for a private socio-political library.

If you have a collection of books that you want to see go to a good home,  please email us at npml@marxistlibr.org and we will by happy to furnish you with a list of places that take book donations.
